We are always looking for passionate locals to join the Bay of Islands Farmers’ Market family.As a member of the Farmers' Markets New Zealand, we have a strict "homegrown" policy. To trade with us, you must grow or produce your goods within the Northland region. For ready-to-eat food, we require the use of Northland ingredients wherever possible to ensure our customers get a true taste of the "Winterless North."Please note that we are not an arts & crafts market; to be eligible to trade with us, you must be food- or plant-based. Kerikeri Farmers' Market
Location: 10 Hobson Ave (Post Office Carpark)
When: Every Sunday, year-round
Time: 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
Setup: Most vendors arrive between 7:30 am and 7:45 am. Staff are on-site from 7:00 am. You must be in by 8 am, and must stay on site until 12pm.
Setup: Most vendors arrive between 9:15 am and 9:30 am. The site is open from 9:10 am.
Access: The entrance is located opposite the helicopter operator – Salt Air. There is a swinging bench seat that must be unlocked for vehicle entry.
Cruise Ship Days: When large cruise ships are in port, we share the Green with the Focus Paihia Village Green Arts and Crafts Market . On these days, we move from our usual spots to the side of the Green.
Stall Fees & RequirementsWe keep our fees simple to support our local growers. Fees are collected in person during the market hours.
Standard Stall Fee: $20 per market (Paid in cash on the day).
Power Access: An additional $5 fee applies if you require electricity.
Equipment: Vendors are responsible for providing their own gazebos, tables, and display equipment.
Membership & GovernanceThe Bay of Islands Farmers' Markets are operated by the Bay of Islands Food Group Inc. As an Incorporated Society, we are a community-led not-for-profit organisation. This structure ensures that the market remains "by the growers, for the growers."To trade at our markets, all stallholders must become active members of the Society.Annual Requirements
The Membership Agreement: Vendors are required to sign a membership contract annually. This agreement confirms your commitment to our authentic Northland-grown standards.
Annual Subs: Membership fees are $25 per year, payable at the start of our financial year.
Your Voice: The AGMWe believe our vendors should have a say in the market’s future. Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held every August.
Voting Rights: Being a member gives you official voting rights on key market decisions and committee elections.
Stall Representation: You may choose to have one or two members per stall.
1 Member = 1 Vote
2 Members = 2 Votes (Each member must pay the $25 annual sub).

Playing at the Market
Are you a local musician looking for a scenic stage and a warm Northland audience? We love filling our markets with live music, and we make it easy for you to turn up and play.What We Provide:
The Essentials: We provide a gazebo and power.
Payment: We pay a small performance fee for your time.
The Perks: Not only do you keep 100% of your koha, but our generous stallholders often share the "market bounty" with our musos—don’t be surprised if you head home with some fresh local produce!
Performance Slots:
Kerikeri Market: Every Sunday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Paihia Market: Thursdays, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (Occasional dates, October to April).
